Awards

The International Film Festival Rotterdam honours filmmakers with several awards, including:


FEATURE FILM AWARDS

  • VPRO Tiger Awards (Three prizes of € 15,000 in cash each).
  • MovieSquad Award (€ 2,000 prize awarded by a jury of young adults to promote the winning film in Dutch arthouse cinemas).
  • Audience Award (For the audience favourite).
  • Dioraphte Award (€10.000 prize awarded by an international jury to one of the Hubert Bals Fund supported films within the 2008 festival selection)
  • FIPRESCI Award (Awarded by an international film critics jury).
  • KNF Award (Free Dutch subtitling awarded by the Circle of Dutch Film Journalists to promote theatrical distribution in The Netherlands for the winning film).
  • NETPAC Award (A jury from the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema chooses the Best Asian Feature Film).

 

SHORT FILM AWARDS:

·          Tiger Awards for Short Film (Three prizes of € 3,000 in cash each for the best short films).

·          Prix UIP Rotterdam (Short Film Nominee for the European Film Awards).

 

CINEMART AWARDS:

·          Prins Claus Film Fund Grant (€ 15,000).

·          Arte France Cinema Awards (€ 10,000).
