Panel discussion moderated by Nik Powell
Nik Powell, director of the National Film and Television School (NFTS) in England. He will moderate a discussion between filmmakers from different cultural backgrounds that have experience with and an opinion about film education for youngsters.
In the panel are:
- Abraham Haile Biru: Ethiopian cameraman (Darrat, IFFR 2007) who has started a film school in Ethiopia.
- Kevin Jerome Everson: American filmmaker (Golden Age of Fish, IFFR 2008)and Assistant Professor of Art at the University of Virginia.
- Garin Nugroho: Indonesian filmmaker (Teak Leaves at the Temples, IFFR 2008) and co- founder of Set. A filmcompany with a strong training and educational programme.
- Hidde Simons: Dutch filmmaker and member of the education task force of the Dutch Directors Guild
